What Pin Configurations and Termination Types Are Available for J30J Series?

J30J Pin Configurations and Termination Types

The J30J series offers a wide range of pin configurations and termination options to accommodate diverse application requirements in aerospace, defense, and industrial systems.

Available Contact Configurations

  • Standard Contact Counts: 9, 15, 21, 25, 31, 37, 51, 69, and 100 positions
  • Mixed Layout Options: Combinations of signal and power contacts in a single connector, allowing designers to consolidate multiple connections into one interface
  • Gender Options: Both plug (pin) and receptacle (socket) configurations available in all contact counts

Termination Types

  • Solder Cup: Traditional solder termination for wire-to-wire and wire-to-board connections. Ideal for prototype and low-volume production.
  • PCB Mount (Straight/Right-Angle): Through-hole PCB mounting with straight or right-angle pin orientation for flexible board layout design.
  • Crimp: Crimp termination for high-reliability wire connections, preferred in aerospace applications where solder joints may be subject to vibration fatigue.
  • Wire Wrap: Wire-wrap termination for prototyping and test applications requiring frequent reconfiguration.

Mounting Options

J30J connectors support panel mount, PCB mount, and cable mount configurations. Jackpost and jackscrew hardware options provide secure mating retention in high-vibration environments.

Custom Configurations

Raineon offers custom J30J configurations including special contact arrangements, mixed-signal/power layouts, and specialized plating options. Contact our engineering team for custom requirements.
